2-1-1 is a free, confidential information and referral service that connects people to essential health and human services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year either online, over the phone, and through text communication.
In 2019, 2-1-1 helped meet the needs of hundreds of people in Santa Cruz County. Our call center received more than 800 service requests and more than 5,000 visits were made to the 2-1-1 website (www.211santacruzcounty.org/) which was recently updated to include advanced search features that make finding resources in your community even easier.
2-1-1 Santa Cruz County also launched an informational campaign by text to keep residents connected to verified sources of information on Coronavirus and resources to help households struggling with a loss of income, search for COVID-19 testing sites, and more. This is in addition to live-answer text and call services by 211 for emergency needs that support our community in unprecedented times.
